Letter Carriers Food Drive brings in 250,000 pounds of food

On Saturday, May 11, 2013, the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) worked with the public to Stamp Out Hunger in Arizona for the 21st year. Although a few bags are still working their way to our warehouse, we are happy to report that the food drive resulted in nearly 250,000 pounds of food for Arizona’s hungry. That is 20,000 pounds more than last year’s total!

The original Waterpark and the original Food Bank join forces to help feed the hungry

Big Surf Waterpark is offering 50 percent off of general admission during the first three weekends of May. Each guest must bring in at least five non-perishable food items for St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance to receive the 50 percent off of general admission ($27.95). This promotion begins on May 4, when Big Surf Waterpark opens for the 2013 season, as well as Sunday, May 5; Saturday, May 11; Sunday, May 12; Saturday, May 18; and Sunday, May 19.
