Phoenix – For the fifth year, the Arizona State Fair partners with Operation Santa Claus and St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance as an appreciative recipient of their special “We Care Wednesdays” promotion to benefit the hungry of Arizona, while earning free admission to the State Fair. Guests who bring a donation of FIVE non-perishable food items (per person) to the State Fair on any Wednesday during the State Fair (Oct. 11, 18 and 25) receives FREE ADMISSION, noon to 6 p.m. The offer is good for an unlimited amount of people, but each person will need their own food items to receive the discount. And the deals don’t stop there! Your free admission to the fair – provided you gain entry PRIOR TO 6 p.m. – will also score free general admission seats to that night’s concert (while seats last) at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. On Oct. 11 you can see country star Billy Currington, on the 18th, classic rockers .38 Special and Oct. 25, Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace.
Look for the St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance volunteers stationed outside each of the four main entrances to the State Fair and exchange your 5-can donation for your free ticket in that day. Over the last two years, St. Mary’s has collected more than 230,000 pounds of food which is placed immediately into emergency food boxes to help Arizonans in need. Most need items by the food bank included: Peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, canned tuna and canned beans and meals. The following items will NOT BE ACCEPTED: Bottle water and soda, all baby food, ramen noodles and “Cup o Noodles” and items in glass containers.
Join us for We Care Wednesdays and help feed Arizona’s hungry. St. Mary’s thanks the Arizona State Fair and Sanderson Ford for this opportunity.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
