Because of Your Support, St. Mary’s Food Bank Continues to Serve our Neighbors in Need.

St. Mary's Food Bank collaborated with Tribal organizations and governments to create our Tribal Food Box Program. The Tribal Food Box contains culturally relevent food items sourced from tribal vendors to meet the unique need.
St. Mary's Food Bank serves 9 of Arizona’s 15 counties, including the Coconino, Navajo, Apache, Mohave and Yavapai counties that span across several tribal communities in Northern Arizona. We are committed to volunteerism, building community relationships and improving the quality of life for all Arizonans in need.

St. Mary’s Food Bank Homebound Delivery program began as a way to provide food to senior citizens who were unable to leave their homes. Prior to COVID, nearly 1,200 seniors received food through this delivery program. With the support of friends like you, the program has grown to more than 3,400 deliveries per month and is now offered to anyone unable to leave their home.
People like Margaret, who says, “life is so much better with St. Mary’s Food Bank." She looks forward to her delivery every month. “My driver comes the first Thursday of every month,” she said excitedly. “I look so forward to seeing him and receiving the food, that I mark it on my calendar every month!”

Child Nutrition Programs
Nearly 1 in 4 children in Arizona struggle with hunger. Our Kids Cafe® and Backpack programs help to feed hungry children in our communities.
Our vision is to see that no child goes to bed hungry, so they can live healthy and productive lives.
Kids Cafe®
This meal service program provides Arizona children with what is often their last meal of the day. We currently collaborate with schools, community centers, health clinics, and other neighborhood groups to provide free, healthy meals daily in after-school programs as well as during the summer. In addition to the nutritious meals, these programs provide a safe environment for children through enrichment activities such as recreation or tutoring. Kids Cafe® provides 6,000 meals daily, including 1,000 hot meals, at more than 140 sites throughout Arizona.
Backpack Program
St. Mary’s Food Bank’s Backpack Program works with community partners to identify chronically hungry children and provide them with a weekly food bag to help their families through the weekend. Backpacks are filled with non-perishable ingredients that provide at least three nutritious meals to a family of four. Backpacks can serve as a means of providing direct assistance to families in rural areas, or to those with limited transportation options. We currently collaborate with more than 100 schools and community centers to provide about 7,000 backpacks per week to families across the state.
