Feel Good Friday at the State Fair

The 2022 Arizona State Fair is set to kick off early this year and St. Mary’s Food Bank, Sanderson Ford and Operation Santa Claus will be recipients of five Feel Good Fridays promotions to benefit the hungry of Arizona.

Guests who bring a donation of ten non-perishable food items (per person) to the Arizona State Fair on five Fridays (Sept. 30 and Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28) receive free admission from noon to 6 p.m.

“Feeling good is what the Fair is all about, and we are proud to support St. Mary’s and our community,” Executive Director Wanell Costello said. “Our partnership with Sanderson Ford and St. Mary’s is crucial for the holiday season and helping feed those in need.” 

“We need to stock our shelves both now and for the upcoming holidays and are very appreciative of the Arizona State Fair and Sanderson Ford for supporting St. Mary’s,” Food Bank President and CEO Tom Kertis said. “We encourage everyone to take advantage of these special Feel Good Fridays. Come out, enjoy the Fair and help feed people at the same time.”

Look for the St. Mary’s Food Bank volunteers stationed outside each of the main entrances to the Arizona State Fair and exchange your 10-can donation for your free admission ticket – which is good for that day only.  Over the years, the Arizona State Fair and St. Mary’s have collected more than 600,000 pounds of food which immediately goes to help Arizonans in need.
