January 27, 2020In December each year we do our end-of-the-year charitable donations and this year we decided to focus on food banks as we have been impressed with the statistics on the number of people in the US who do not have enough to eat during the pandemic.
It was distressing to hear that many children go to bed at night hungry.
Once I found a central food bank in a particular state, I would then go to the Charity Navigator site and research that particular food bank to see if they had a good rating based on financial accountability, efficiency, and impact. That is how I found you at the St. Mary’s Food Bank.
