Can my fellow employees and I all volunteer?

Yes! The Food can accommodate groups from 5 people to 110 people Tuesday through Saturday. We can take groups of 20 or more Tuesday through Friday in the evening until 8 p.m. with advance notice. Volunteering is a terrific team building activity and it helps companies attain their community service goals.

My family and I want to volunteer, but I have children, can they volunteer too?

Young people are welcome at the Food Bank! Youth ages 12-15, need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. Any group with youth under 12 years of age, must be arranged with the Volunteer Manager. Those 16 years or older do not require an adult chaperone.

I'm a high school teacher, can my class do a field trip there and help the food bank?

Yes! Junior high and high school students are welcome! Volunteerism is a wonderful lesson in civic duty and respect for our young adults. They can also add it on their college applications - it's a terrific opportunity to develop their leadership skills!

We are a group of retirees and are looking to involve our group in a monthly activity. Can we volunteer?

Yes! Clubs, Associations, Sororities and Fraternities can find something meaningful for their members to do. Your organization can increase your groups community presence through volunteerism and meet philanthropic objectives.

I always hear about people volunteering around the holidays, is there any other time I can volunteer?

Yes! A wide range of volunteer opportunities are available to individuals and groups throughout the year. Unfortunately, hunger is an ongoing problem and never takes a holiday, therefore we are always in need of people willing to donate their time to help those in need.
