The largest single-day food drive in the United States also happens to be one of the easiest to be a part of. All it takes is a quick trip to your mailbox.
On Saturday, May 11, 2013, Campbell Soup Company will join forces with the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) to help Stamp Out Hunger in Arizona. Now in its 21st year, the annual food drive has grown from a regional to a national effort that provides assistance to the millions of Americans struggling to put food on the table.
As part of its ongoing hunger relief efforts, Campbell’s Soup Company is once again partnering with the letter carriers and will produce a reminder postcard that the U.S. Postal Service delivers to more than 80 million homes the week of the drive. In addition, Campbell will donate one pound of food (up to one million pounds) to Feeding America for every person who joins the Stamp Out Hunger Facebook Cause, pledging their support to ending hunger in America. To trigger a donation, visit www.Facebook.com/StampOutHunger.
Remember to participate on Saturday, May 9 in one of the nation’s largest food drives by placing non-perishable food – including soups, stews, juices, peanut butter, beans and tuna, but please, nothing in glass containers – in a grocery sack next to your mailbox on this day. Your letter carrier will pick it up and the food will directly benefit St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance.
