Avnet Summer Interns Volunteer at St. Mary’s Packing Emergency Food Boxes

St. Mary’s food Bank Alliance would like to thank the 50 summer interns from Avnet for visiting St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance and helping create some of our emergency food boxes for the next month as part of their community service project.

Headquartered in Phoenix, Avnet is one of the world’s largest distributors of electronic components, including connectors and semiconductors; technology solutions, computer products and embedded technology. Avnet connects the world’s leading technology manufacturers with a broad base of more than 100,000 customers by providing cost-effective value-added services and solutions.

The interns come from all over the country and they were proudly sporting t-shirts from alma maters for their day with St. Mary’s. We’re a little partial to the ASU grads, of course (Go Devils!) but we welcome and thank all of the interns for their great spirit and community-minded efforts. Every year, Avnet welcomes a new class of Summer Interns and this time teamed up with Avnet Cares, an employee-led grassroots community outreach program, to select St. Mary’s Food Bank as its project site this summer.

Thank you interns!  Thank you Avnet!
