Details about the Kids Cafe® Open

In the last six years, this annual golf tournament has raised enough funds to provide more than 200,000 meals to children at risk of hunger.  Golfers enjoy a day of golf at the beautiful Wigwam Golf Resort and Spa in Litchfield Park.  All golfers will be treated to lunch, goodie bags, tournament shirts, mulligans and paint sticks, as well as entry for raffle prizes.  Live and silent auction items will be featured as well.

When: April 11, 2008

Registration - 6 a.m.

Tee-off Time - 7:30 a.m.

The Mission of Kids Cafe

To alleviate childhood hunger in Arizona by providing nutritious meals to children at risk of hunger in a safe, accessible and nurturing environment…because no kid deserves to go to bed hungry.

The Kids Cafe program provides food to 25 sites in the Valley.  During Fiscal Year 2006-2007, Kids Cafe served 1,850 meals daily for a total of 401,420 meals at 39 sites for children 5 to 18 years of age.  Kids Cafe partners with area churches, schools, community centers, and city Parks & Recreation Departments to provide a secure and safe environment for children.  Meals are paid for through fundraising, donations and government meal reimbursement.
