Home: For Our Agencies: Agency Inspections
The Food Bank conducts agency inspections to maintain the safety and health of its partner agencies and the clients they serve. Appointments are made by Food Bank Agency Services representatives, and the date, time and type of service will be confirmed.
At the time of inspection, a Food Bank representative will:
* discuss and review record-keeping practices.
* review and confirm certificates are current, including restaurant manager certificates and food handler cards.
* check for cleanliness, evidence of pests, refrigerator and freezer temperatures, proper pantry and chemical storage, inventory control, and general food handling practices.
* discuss the agency’s five-year vision for the future.
* review Food Bank programs.
