St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance celebrated National Hunger Awareness Day on June 5, 2007 as part of the grassroots movement to raise awareness about the solvable problem of hunger in America. This day served as a platform for domestic hunger-relief organizations to raise awareness about hunger in America.

The Food Bank Open House had activites throughout the community, highlighting hunger awareness, childhood hunger and education. The events included representatives from: Arizona Governor's Office, Food Bank agencies, food donors, financial donors and sponsors.
