At St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, we greatly appreciate our food donors. Actually, that’s an understatement…we love our food donors! It is their support and generosity that makes it possible for us to provide enough food for seven meals with every one dollar we receive in monetary donations. Simply…we cannot do it without them!

We are very excited about our newest food donor partner, Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets. New to the Valley, this grocery store chain run by Tesco from the U.K. provides fresh produce, meat, dairy and other food items to its customers. We are fortunate enough that the store has also chosen to share these fresh items with us. Starting in December 2007, Fresh & Easy began working with St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance. We are currently picking up 17 of the Fresh & Easy stores in the Valley and we look forward to continuing to work with them moving forward.

In addition to donating food to us, this new kid on the block has already had staff, including Eastside District Manager Jeff Lang and Regional Manager Al O’Donnell come in and volunteer their time. On Saturday, February 16, the group came to the Food Bank’s 31^st Avenue location and sorted 17 huge bins of produce to be distributed. We can’t wait to have them back!
