Welcome to the World's First Food Bank!

Programs - Main Office & Warehouse:Emergency Food Box (EFB)

St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance distributes Emergency Food Boxes, free of charge, to case managers who are assisting families and individuals facing a crisis. The case manager picks up a box from the Food Bank and delivers the box, containing a three-day supply of nutritionally balanced, nonperishable food, directly to their clients home. This food helps the family manage for a short period of time until their case manager can provide other assistance.

Emergency situations do not discriminate among age, race or income, but impact all people at one time or another. The majority of those who receive Emergency Food Boxes are senior citizens or low-income families with children, however, the boxes are available for all who qualify. To learn more about the Emergency Food Box program, please call (602) 352-3640, or email at EFB Department.

St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance relies heavily on food drives to fill Emergency Food Boxes as well as to provide agencies and families with essential food items--especially during the summer months, when the Food Bank's nonperishable food supply is greatly depleted. To hold a food drive, please call (602) 352-3640, or email our Food Drive Coordinator.

You can assist in the production and packaging of Emergency Food Boxes by volunteering at the Food Bank. To volunteer, please call (602) 352-3640, or email Volunteer Resources. To learn more about volunteering, visit the Volunteer Page
