St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance is committed to eliminating hunger in Arizona, not only by distributing food to those in need, but also by advocating for solutions to end hunger. These solutions require the commitment of everyone in the community, from school children to government officials. We encourage you to get involved in the fight to end hunger become educated on the issues, stay informed and make your voice heard.

ARIZONA STATISTICS
Based on a the 2004 Census Bureau American Community Survey, 800,027 people in Arizona live at or below the federal poverty line.
Arizona's poverty rate is higher than the national average at 14.2 percent, or 1 in every 7 people.
312,966 of Arizona's children, nearly 1 in 5, live in poverty.
686,378 individuals in Arizona are considered food insecure; 3.7 percent of those who are food insecure also live with hunger.
