Locations/Programs: Community Kitchen: Hire a Community Kitchen Student
The Community Kitchen program works closely with local foodservice establishments to provide internships and employment for program graduates. Internships last two weeks and help students gain hands-on kitchen experience needed in the workplace. The Community Kitchen thrives with the involvement of our community.
More than 30 internships sites are willing to host and hire Community Kitchen students, including Litchfield, Mesa and Scottsdale School Districts; Aramark; Sodexho; Eurest; Havana Cafe; Phoenix Rescue Mission; Hilton Suites; Pointe Hilton; and St. Joseph's Hospital.
There are many social and practical reasons to hire a Community Kitchen Graduate.
* There is no recruiting or advertising cost to find a new kitchen employee.
* It's the socially responsible thing to do
* If the graduate is a felon their may be tax advantages
* Our students come ready to work certified in
-Fire Safety
-CPR and First Aid
-National Restaurant Association Servsafe Manager
