The Community Kitchen offers a 14 week foodservice training program provided by St. Mary’s Food Bank

The purpose of the Community Kitchen is to provide training and job placement in the foodservice industry to
low-income adults, while providing nutritious meals to the hungry.

• Students attend the program Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.

• ½ of the day is spent in the kitchen, dedicated to foodservice training and the other ½ is spent learning life skills to help individuals succeed in the workplace

• In addition to life skills and foodservice training

, students will receive:

Maricopa County Food Handler’s Card

National Restaurant Association ServSafe Manager Certification

CPR & First Aid Certification

Fire Safety Certification

Chefs Uniform

2 Week Internship Placement

Career Assistance; Up to One Year Following Program Completion

Student are required to be at least 18 years of age, reside in Maricopa County, and have the ability to legally and physically work an 8 hour day and lift at least 30 pounds.
