Super Bowl Fans Get Together to Feed the Hungry

Calling all Patriots and Seahawks fans!

St. Mary’s/Taste of the NFL Super Fan Pack-Out Set for Thursday, January 29

St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance is asking fans of the teams battling for the Super Bowl XLIX crown to come together before The Big Game to fight hunger in Arizona.
Calling New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks fans! Join NBC Sports personalities, former NFL players including Matt Light of the Patriots and Craig Terrill of the Seahawks and noted chefs John Howie (Seattle Restaurant) and Steve DeFilliippo (Davio’s Italian Steakhouse in Boston) for the St. Mary’s/Taste of the NFL Super Fan Pack-Out on Thursday, January 29 from 10 am to noon at St. Mary’s main warehouse (2831 N. 31st Avenue).
This event will be limited to the first 150 fans who sign up so make your plans now! Patriots and Seahawks fans are asked to wear their colors and gear – the LOUDER AND PROUDER THE BETTER – and to bring a bag of food to help feed the one in four Arizona children who struggle with hunger each day. We’ll have a competition between the two sides to see who raises the most meals for St. Mary’s – and a little pregame karma never hurts!
Join local and national NBC personalities and other dignitaries to pack thousands of emergency food boxes for Arizona’s hungry. All volunteers will receive an apron commemorating the event and some delicious food!
Volunteer on line at the St. Mary’s website http://volunteer.firstfoodbank.org and use the invitation codes “Seahawks1” or “Patriots1” to reserve your spot for this great event. NBC will be filming this even for possible national use in the future, so don’t be surprised if you see yourself on television down the road.
You can also call St. Mary’s Food Bank to reserve your spots. New England fans can call (602) 343-3160 to reserve spots with Jerry Brown, while Seattle fans can call John Yantis at (602) 343-3152. Spots will fill up fast. First-come, first-served!
