2011 CANSTRUCTION Winners Announced; More Than 56,000 FOOD ITEMS Used and Donated to St. Mary's

This year’s Canstruction contestants really stepped up their games – all 12 of the entries were fantastic works of art and worthy competitors for selection as one of the best. But after the dust settled, here were the results of the judging Tuesday night at RED Development CityScape:

Again, more than 56,000 cans and other non-perishable food items were used by this year’s Canstruction teams. And with cash donations included, more than 60,000 meals have been provided through this fantastic event. There is still time to see these great structures – and to vote on the People’s Choice Award – today and tomorrow on the first and second floor of RED Development CityScape (First Street and Washington). You are also encouraged to bring a canned food item or two to help the food bank in its mission to fight hunger in Arizona.
